In the Parliamentary Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission, OSTİM Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek made a presentation titled “Industrial Policies and Public Procurements Current Situation in the World and in Turkey and Suggestions for Turkey” together with OSTİM OIZ President Orhan Aydın and his accompanying delegation and OSTİM Technical University academicians and affiliated international researchers.

In the opening speech of the Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission meeting held in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Commission President and AK Party Konya Deputy Ziya ALTUNYALDIZ said that the industrialization process that started at the end of the 18th century accelerated with the 20th century, and that at the end of the 20th century, He also stated that electronics and information technologies are also included in the production processes. Innovative and value-added public procurement is the catalyst for industry and development

He stated that public procurement, which constitutes the agenda of the Commission meeting, enables countries to take one step ahead of their competitors in an increasingly competitive environment in innovative and value-added areas, and that public procurement policies are of great importance for developing the potential of countries in the fields of technology, science and value-added industry.

Ziya ALTUNYALDIZ: “I believe that our strong growth in industry, which made the biggest contribution to our growth of 7% in the first quarter of 2021 with 2.5 points, will be further strengthened by the parliamentary-industry-academia cooperation.

At the same time, we are happy to reach the highest values ​​in our history as of June, in our exports, which are the locomotive of our economy. These important developments in our exports, where the share of manufacturing industry products in total is 94.1%, is an indication that our developments in the industrial field will continue to grow stronger in the coming period.” made evaluations.

Public procurement policies are capable of triggering and accelerating the industrial and technological development of countries.
