He completed his bachelor's education at Yıldız Technical University, Department of Electrical Engineering, in 1991. He obtained his master's degree at METU Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1997, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa N. Parlar Education and Research Foundation awarded his thesis work the Thesis of the Year award. He achieved his Ph.D. in 2004 at Ankara University Electronics Engineering. Between 1991 and 2013, he served as an Engineer Officer at the Turkish Air Force. In this process, he worked on procurement and modernization projects of various defense systems, especially radar, electronic warfare, and avionics systems, providing engineering support to the operation and initiating and conducting research and development projects. Also, he participated in the maintenance and repair activities of various electrical and electronic systems of the Air Force assets. Dr. Ahmet Güngör Pakfiliz has taught undergraduate and graduate-level courses at different foundation universities since 2013. His Radar Systems courses at the undergraduate level and Electronic Warfare and Avionics Systems courses at the graduate level meet the academic and practical requirements of engineers working or planning to work in defense industry companies. His fields of study are electronic warfare, radar systems, avionics systems, statistical signal processing, and image processing. He has articles in many national and international journals on his study subjects and a book published in Turkish on electronic warfare. Dr. Ahmet Güngör Pakfiliz is an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Ankara Ostim Technical University.
